Rural Wisdom (North Angus) held an Evaluation afternoon in June on one of the wettest days on record in Brechin. The weather did not deter the good turnout from community partners from coming along and offering their views on the impact of the project in North Angus.

Carol Hayden from NDTi, one of the partners of the National Lottery funded project enjoyed hearing about what difference the project has made in the area, in particular how it has brought people together to work on shared agendas to increase the reach to others, not just older people, living in the area.

Participants were keen to highlight the new activities along with the current proposals on working with a member of staff from the Communities Team, Angus Council and a small Focus Group in setting up a voluntary community transport initiative.

This work continues post Rural Wisdom and importantly feeds into the next stage of Rural Wisdom in the areas of the Borders and Moray.  Findings from this event will form part of the evaluation due to be circulated in the summer
