Good practice

Sharing good practice

The following resources offer a chance to share good practice from the many projects Rural Wisdom has been involved in across Scotland and Wales since 2017. The discussion points, ideas and actions detailed in these resources are intended to inspire and educate people to take action and make improvements in their own communities across the UK.

Getting people involved

Sharing ideas

Click the links below to find out more about the conversations we had at local events with our partners as well as participants and contributors in each of these communities. These meetings took place in areas out-with the more localised areas of impact in communities which could still make an important contribution to the work of Rural Wisdom providing a further opportunity for shared learning.

Community Transport

Transport has been raised as an issue in every community we have met throughout our Rural Wisdom journey. We have met with community transport organisations throughout Scotland and Wales, exploring the challenges and solutions. We've come across brilliant projects, like Pembrokeshire Association of Community Transport Organisations (PACTO), who are developing new, innovative transport solutions. This short video shares some of our transport highlights.
